There is no small city more
carefully tucked into the Heart of central Florida
than Eagle Lake. Surrounded by the bustle and
business of this fast-growing region, Eagle Lake has designed a future that takes
every advantage of that growth, but carefully preserves its quality of life.
Eagle Lake is situated in the heart of central Florida's 'Imperial' Polk County. The City is astride US Highway 17,
between Bartow and Winter Haven. Tampa is fifty
miles to the west, and Interstate 4, which links the east and west coasts of Florida, is about 13 miles north of Eagle Lake. State Highway 60 also crosses the
state, just a few miles to the south of Eagle Lake.
Residents of Eagle Lake enjoy the best
of two worlds: the cultural amenities of a major metropolitan area, and the
'laid-back,' easy living of an un crowded small-town lifestyle. Residents are
within an hour's reach of many world-famous attractions, including Cypress Gardens, Historic Bok
Sanctuary, Disney World, Universal Studios, Busch Gardens, and Sea World. In addition to these
attractions, the surrounding Polk County offers an
number of significant cultural amenities, including art galleries and museums,
community theatres, formal gardens, music festivals, a National Historic
District, fine dining, and more.
